Seal
Pack steel wool into the gap, then spray foam over it. Don't overpack, the foam needs room to expand.

Trim
Wait an hour, then cut it back flush with the scissors in the kit. Cutting earlier tears the surface.

Paint
After 24 hours, paint it with an oil-based topcoat. It blends into the wall instead of standing out. Always do this on sun-exposed seals.

Will this solve an active infestation?
No. PestBlock seals the way in. It is not a pesticide, it does not kill anything, and it does not treat a problem that is already inside. If you are hearing activity in a wall or ceiling, call a pest-control professional first, let them clear it, then seal behind them. Sealing an active problem in makes things worse, not better.
Is the finished seal chew-proof?
We don't claim it is. Nothing you can spray from a can is. What we can tell you is why the two-material method exists: cured foam on its own is soft, and steel wool on its own works loose. The steel wool is the barrier, the foam holds it in place and closes what's left around it. That is a much tougher seal than foam alone, which is what most people reach for.
How many gaps will a kit cover?
It depends on the size of the openings, so count entry points rather than square footage. Take a flashlight and walk the perimeter first. Most homes have somewhere between four and eight gaps worth closing, and the pack sizes are built around that: the smallest pack for a handful of known gaps, the middle pack for a whole-floor pass, the largest for a full-house sweep across basement, crawl space, garage and attic.
What makes the steel wool different?
Two things. It is a denser, coarser grade than the loose steel wool pads sold as general filler, so it holds its shape when you pack it into an opening. And it comes on one-metre rolls you cut to length, which means you size it to the gap instead of tearing bits off a pad. The kit also includes micro-serrated shears, because ordinary scissors don't cut steel wool cleanly, they just fray it.
